Terms of Service

Effective October 6, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and White Oak Design Works, LLC, which operates CampSzn ("CampSzn", "we", "us"). They cover the CampSzn app at app.campszn.app and this site. By signing in to CampSzn, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy are part of these terms.

What CampSzn does

CampSzn helps you plan a camping season. You save campgrounds, mark the weeks you can travel, and CampSzn suggests when to visit each place based on its typical weather.

  • Weather is historical, not a forecast. Typical temperatures come from past daily records. Actual weather on your trip will differ. Check the forecast and local conditions before you go.
  • CampSzn doesn't book anything. Reservations happen on Recreation.gov and other sites, under their terms. We don't guarantee that a campground is open, available, or as described.
  • Campground details come from others. Recreation.gov facility information, map data, and place names come from public sources and can be out of date or wrong.
  • Camping has real risks. You're responsible for your own trips, safety, and decisions outdoors.

Your account

  • You must be 18 or older to use CampSzn.
  • You sign in with a link sent to your email address. Keep access to that inbox secure, since anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
  • One account per person. Give us an email address you control.
  • You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deleting it removes your data, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Free and paid features

Saving and organizing campgrounds, seasons, and candidates is free. Season windows, weather, Smart schedule, and trips need a subscription, a beta invitation, or a gift of access.

  • The subscription is annual and renews automatically at the price shown when you subscribe, until you cancel. We'll email you before each renewal. If the price changes, we'll tell you before the renewal it applies to.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, not to us. Applicable taxes may be added.
  • You can cancel at any time from Manage billing in Settings. You keep paid features until the end of the year you paid for. See the Refund Policy for refunds.
  • When paid access ends, the free features keep working, and you can still see everything you made, including past windows, trips, and weather. You can't add or change windows and trips, or fetch new weather, until access returns.
  • Beta and gift access is free for the period we give it, and we can end it at any time.

Your content

The campgrounds, notes, pins, links, seasons, and trips you add are yours. You give us permission to store, copy, and process them only to run CampSzn for you, including backups. We don't show them to other users, sell them, or use them for advertising.

Acceptable use

Don't:

  • break the law, or use CampSzn to harm others;
  • try to get into another person's account or data;
  • interfere with CampSzn, probe it for weaknesses without our permission, or overload it, for example with automated requests or scraping;
  • resell or copy the service, or the data it shows, outside your own planning; or
  • paste links that lead to unlawful content, or use CampSzn to reach addresses that aren't public web pages.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. If we close a paid account for a reason other than a breach, we'll refund the unused part of the year.

Changes and availability

CampSzn is a small, young service. We'll work to keep it running and your data safe, but we don't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or remove features. If we ever shut CampSzn down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice by email, give you a way to get a copy of your data, and refund the unused part of any paid year.

Disclaimers

CampSzn is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. Weather, campground, and map information is for planning only.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, White Oak Design Works, LLC isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost trips, bookings, or data. Our total liability for any claim about CampSzn is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, please email us so we can try to resolve it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we'll email you before it takes effect. Using CampSzn after that means you accept the new terms. If you don't, you can cancel or delete your account.
